By using the roll forward function to cut and the roll back function to fill instead of the boom up and boom down, the back edge almost eliminates the dive of a traditional blades and allows it float across the surface. The fully rolled back position of the 8-way dozer blade employs the rear cutting edge approximately 1/4” lower than the front cutting edge to mimic using a bucket machine in back drag mode.
#SKID STEER BLADE ATTACHMENTS MANUAL#
The patent pending rear cutting edge on this blade allows for manual grading with ease. In 3-dimensional automation this blade will hold the forward roll function in a dynamic but stable position to maximize cutting performance while grading to the required tight tolerances of a 3-D surface.

Using the roll function to tilt this blade forward will allow significant down pressure for this compact tracked loader’s size. When using this 8-way dozer blade in manual or automated grading mode, this blade’s design allows it to cut compacted material. Because of its enhanced design, this blade is truly revolutionizing the grading industry with its patent pending technologies! Nothing on the market at the time seemed to be the right tool for the job. The idea for this blade came about in the field while GC’ing a solid waste disposal facility with many layers of bedding required. Unlike other similarly marketed attachments, there are no bulky arms or wheels, this blade has a forward roll function to allow 8 full directions of movement, and, among other advantages, manual grading is made easy due to the proprietary rear cutting edge.

Octagon Equipment’s 8 Way Dozer Blade has been designed to provide exceptional grading quality in both manual and automated grading modes.
